Mom Finds Son Murdered In Bethel Home

A man whose mother thought he committed suicide was the victim of a homicide, according to police.

The unidentified 42-year-old man was found around 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, when a resident of Apollo Road, returned home and found her son dead, said the Bethel Police Department.

Police responded to the scene and determined that the death was a homicide and a suspect was quickly identified, said the Bethel Police.

The suspect was located and detained by the New Milford Police as a result of crimes committed in their town earlier in the day, Bethel Police said.

The suspect remains in New Milford Police custody and charges related to the Bethel homicide are pending.
